Full scholarships offered to children of August 6 helicopter crash victims

B5 Plus Group, in partnership with DPS International School in Tema, has announced a comprehensive scholarship package for the children of victims of the August 6 helicopter crash.
The initiative was unveiled at a brief but solemn ceremony at the Jubilee House, where the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, described the gesture as “a true act of corporate responsibility and compassion.”
Under the package, two children of each victim will receive full educational support at DPS International School — covering tuition, uniforms, boarding, and other essentials — up to the ‘A’ Level stage.
Marietta Brew, Presidential Advisor on Legal Affairs, hailed the offer as “a priceless investment in the future,” praising DPS International for its track record of academic excellence and global opportunities.
She cited her niece’s success at the school and highlighted the achievement of Oheneba Kwame Kyeretwie, son of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, now pursuing Astronomy at Wesleyan University in the USA after graduating from DPS with distinction.
B5 Plus CEO Mukesh Thakwani, who presented the scholarship package, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting families affected by the tragedy.
“This act will be greatly welcomed by His Excellency the President,” Marietta Brew added, commending the collaboration as a meaningful response to a national tragedy.
