Residence of Fijai, a suburb of Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis witnessed a dramatic scene as two Nigerian nationals were caught stealing a laptop bag from a private residence in afternoon of February 25.
The suspects, who were using a motorbike for their criminal operation, were apprehended after an eyewitness, Francis, spotted them in action and raised an alarm.
The suspect received hefty beating by the mob.
According to Francis, he saw the duo on a motorbike, and one got off the bike heading to the house, breaking the window of the house and returning with a laptop bag. The two got on the bike and began to escape.
“I then raised an alert and followed them with my car as they made a right turn at Fijai crossroads. I struck them with my car, sending them to the ground,” he described.
Authorities have since taken the duo into custody as investigations continue.
