Prove it or stop the noise – Ade Coker challenges Assin South MP

Former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ade Coker, has dismissed allegations made by the Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, regarding suspicious flights arriving in Ghana.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Coker challenged the MP to provide evidence to support his claims rather than calling on the authorities to investigate.

“If you are alleging, then prove it. You claim to have information, so bring it and stop asking the airport company to investigate it for you,” he stated.

He emphasized that planes land frequently, and any claim of illicit cargo must be backed by concrete proof.

“Planes land all the time, so if you say a plane has arrived with suspicious cargo, you need to prove it. You can’t just make claims without backing them up,” he argued.

Coker also pointed out that investigative work should not be shifted onto authorities without credible leads from the person making the allegations.

“If you have the information, bring it to the relevant agencies. No one will attack you. Prove what you’re saying and stop making baseless allegations.”

Dismissing the claims as mere noise, he asserted that security protocols at the airport are stringent enough to detect any suspicious activity.

“They just want to be heard, but in the end, it’s much ado about nothing. You have all the details of the plane when it lands. So, if something suspicious happens, there’s no way it could go unnoticed. At least one of the people unloading the cargo would give a tip-off if something was amiss.”

Coker further criticized the MP for making unfounded accusations without evidence, urging him to substantiate his claims.

“You can’t just say a plane landed with cocaine without offering any evidence. Come and prove it.”
