Afrobeats icon 2Baba Idibia recently turned 50, and while the milestone celebration was filled with music, laughter, and family warmth, it was his mother-in-law’s heartfelt words that stole the spotlight.
The legendary singer, who tied the knot with Edo State Assembly member Natasha Osawaru in a private traditional wedding on July 25, 2025, marked his golden jubilee just weeks later.
The ceremony, held at Signature House in Maitama, Abuja, was intimate, attended only by close friends and family, though photos and videos of the joyous occasion quickly made their way online.
At his birthday celebration, both his mother, Rose, and mother-in-law, Philomena Osawaru, joined in the festivities, dancing and toasting the couple’s new chapter.
But it was Philomena’s touching tribute that left the room in awe.
“You’ve not seen anything at all. This your past 50 years was a child’s play, but now, the Lord will do those things in your life that brought you,” she declared in a now-viral video.
