Just as Charlotte Osei was removed without any precedent, CJ should be removed

Youth activist Oliver Barker Vormawor has indicated that there should not be a precedent before the chief justice is removed from her office.
To him, if there is reason for the Chief Justice to be removed, there must not be any form of hesitation.
He cites the fact that there was no precedent when the former president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo removed the Electoral Commission chairperson and her two deputies from office.
“There was no precedent for the removal of an EC boss before we removed one. In our politics, the NPP are like Republicans. Always hopin Democrats will be the restrained ones, while they take a scorched earth approach,” he stated in a social media post.
His comments comes on the back of Akyem Swedru’s Member of Parliament’s position that removing the Chief Justice has never happened and that removing her will weaken the Arm of Government.
His post said “The Judiciary must know that any attempts by anyone to remove the Chief Justice is an attack on the judiciary and if this attempt succeeds the entire judiciary will be completely divided and destroyed. History shows that all attempts by previous governments to remove previous Chief Justices of the Supreme Court were all not successful and we should not allow the current attempts to succeed.
