I was spiritually attacked during my first singathon attempt – Afua Asantewaa

Media personality Afua Asantewaa Aduonoum has opened up on some challenges she encountered during her first GWR singathon attempt in 2023.
According to her, she was spiritually attacked during the first attempt and this affected her but she continued to the end.
She disclosed that before the first attempt, she had sought help both physically and spiritually but that couldn’t help her because, at that time, her level of spirituality was low.
“Sometimes social media comments can go a long way. During my first attempt, it affected me. The challenges were many. They were spiritual. Physically, everyone knew I was going to sing so I was exercising but with the first one, I would say that I was spiritually weak. I prayed. We even got a pastor to come and pray for us but the fight in singathon is not easy. I am speaking based on my experience,” she said.
She questioned why some bad individuals would plot to spiritually sabotage her attempts to bag a Guinness World Record when she was not financially benefitting from embarking on her sing-a-thon event.
As described by Afua Asantewaa, she and her spouse started a strict fast to prevent difficulties for her second try in Kumasi because she was still subjected to constant demonic attacks.
The socialite’s comments follow the conclusion of her second effort at a sing-a-thon, which lasted five days and more than 120 hours. On December 21, 2024, she started her effort, and on Thursday, December 26, 2024, she completed it.
