There is massive jubilation among police officers after government made public the removal of George Akuffo Dampare as Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service (IGP).
Government through a statement announced that George Akuffo Dampare has been removed as IGP.
The statement said the new IGP will lead the modernization of the Ghana Police Service.
In videos available on social media, several policemen have been seen jubilating after the announcement.
Although there is no reason given for the jubilation, it is alleged that Dampare cared less about the welfare of personnel of the service.
They have said that Dampare cared only about his personal image and social trends rather than the personnel in the service.
