Decision to use water guards to fight galamsey ridiculous

Youth activist and a leading voice in the fight against illegal mining in Ghana, Oliver Barker Vormawor, has described the idea of using water guards to fight galamsey as ridiculous.
According to him, the government is toying with environmental destruction like it is some “kwasasa game.
He is worried about how the fight against Illegal mining is not getting any better results because of how incompetent the fight against the menace has been over the years.
On recruitment of the water guards, he questioned how the government without any form of advertising was able to recruit these Ghanaians as water guards.
His position expressed in a post shared via social media read “While we are on the topic. Where did this ridiculous water guard idea come from?
I didn’t even see any advertisement recruiting people. Then all of a sudden people are wearing ugly uniforms and matching out of formation.
Ah! Play Dey wanna eye top ooo!
Is it environmental destruction we are toying with like it’s some kwasasa game?
