CDM urges apology from Felix Kwakye Ofosu after insulting Rev. Fordjour

The Centre for Democratic Movement (CDM) has condemned Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu for calling Reverend John Ntim Fordjour a “clown” during a national security debate.
In a statement, the CDM described the comment as “appalling” and damaging to the dignity of the Presidency, calling it a violation of ethical standards for public officers.
The insult came amid concerns over alleged drug trafficking and money laundering involving aircraft passing through Ghanaian airspace.
Reverend Fordjour has been vocal about the need for transparency and accountability, particularly regarding national security issues.
The CDM called for an apology from Kwakye Ofosu and urged President Mahama to discipline him, emphasizing that leadership must reflect discipline and statesmanship in times of national uncertainty.
The group also called for an impartial investigation into the allegations, urging transparency and the rule of law.
On April 5, 2025, Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu referred to Reverend John Ntim Fordjour as a “clown” in a tweet: “Osofo moko Ntimfordjour, what a clown!”
This comment was made amid a national security debate concerning allegations of drug trafficking and money laundering involving aircraft passing through Ghanaian airspace.
