Shameful NDC only accept Russia-Ukraine war’s adverse effect on International stages -Kofi Ofosu Nkansah
Former Chief Executive Officer of NEIP, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has condemned the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) for only accepting that COVID-19 and the Russian-Ukrainian war affected Ghana’s economy when they are on international stages but refusing to accept the same when they are in Ghana.
He made this known while sharing a video of the environment minister indicating that the pandemic and the war visited Ghana and other countries with untold hardship.
His post shared via social media read, “On international platforms, the NDC and its officials admit to the devastating impact of COVID-19 and Russia and Ukraine’s war on economies. But when they are in Ghana, they deny the impact of these events.
Here is Environment Minister, Mohammed Murtala citing COVID-19 and Russia as reasons for Ghana’s challenges.”
The New Patriotic Party (NPP), while in power, explained that the Russia and Ukraine wars played a key role in the destruction of the country’s economy.
However, the NDC while in opposition, kicked against the claim vehemently and blamed the government for economic mismanagement.
