Adwoa Safo shares spiritual ordeal during early days in politics

Former Member of Parliament for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has opened up about a chilling spiritual experience she faced during her first attempt to enter Ghana’s Parliament.

In a video making rounds on social media, the politician recounted how individuals went to extraordinary lengths to spiritually attack her during her early political journey.

“During my first parliamentary election contest in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency, some individuals took my picture and collected sand from my footprints to use in a sacred ritual,” she revealed.

According to her, the intent behind the ritual was to cause her harm by summoning her spirit. However, she said their attempts were thwarted by a mysterious but protective force—her late father.

“However, whenever they attempted to call out my spirit to cause harm, my father would appear to protect me,” she said.

The situation reportedly escalated to a point where even the spiritual practitioners involved in the ritual expressed their fear and confusion.

“It got to a point when the ritualist saw my picture, they said it was a man. When they mentioned my name, he said they should never mention that name again,” Adwoa Safo added.

She credited her late father’s spiritual presence with shielding her from danger, expressing deep gratitude for what she described as a supernatural intervention. “As for my father, I don’t know how to thank him,” she said with emotion.
