Ghana to experience hot weather with isolated thunderstorms in some areas

Ghanaians are being advised to prepare for a day of predominantly hot and sunny conditions, according to the latest weather update from the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet).
The forecast indicates high temperatures across the country, with the northern sector expected to record peaks of up to 40°C.
This morning, residents in the forest zones and highland areas are waking up to misty conditions, accompanied by light cloud cover.
However, as the day progresses, the sun is set to dominate skies nationwide, driving temperatures higher.
The coastal and forest sectors are both projected to experience minimum temperatures of 25°C, rising to highs of around 33°C.
The transition zone will see a broader range, from 23°C to a scorching 36°C, while the northern regions are set for the hottest conditions, with temperatures ranging from 25°C to an intense 40°C.
Despite the prevailing dry and sunny weather, GMet has cautioned that parts of the middle belt, transition zone, and northern sector could experience isolated thunderstorms or rainfall later in the day, stretching into the evening hours.
The public is advised to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours, and stay alert for any further updates on changing weather patterns.
