Akyem Swedru MP backs calls for amnesty for suspended and dismissed members to rejoin NPP

Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru Kennedy Osei Nyarko has backed claims for a general amnesty to be granted to all members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who were suspended or dismissed from the political party.
He holds the view that as a political party rebuilding its base, it is right for all who love the party but left due to one reason or the other must be brought back.
Kennedy Osei Nyarko emphasized the fact that this move would strengthen the base of the political party making it attractive again.
In a Facebook post, he said, “PYB this I agree with 1000%. This opportunity will allow the party to bring together all willing souls and true patriots who really have the party at heart and not at mouth”.
His comments come on the back of Patrick Yaw Boamah’s calls on the party’s leadership to work towards ensuring that party members who were aggrieved and had to leave are brought back into their fold.
The New Patriotic Party is hoping to solidify its base as it prepares for the 2028 elections.
The political party is hoping to capture power from the governing National Democratic Congress, which will have to present a new candidate for the elections.
