GMet forecasts sunny weather with possible thunderstorms in parts of Ghana

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has predicted mostly sunny weather across the country today, April 17, with possible thunderstorms and rain in some areas later in the day.
According to GMet, the morning will begin with partly cloudy conditions nationwide, while early morning mist is expected in parts of the coastal, forest, and hilly regions.
As the day progresses, sunny weather will dominate across most areas. However, residents in the forest, transition, and northern sectors should brace themselves for possible thunderstorms, with or without rain, from late afternoon into the evening.
Temperature readings across the various sectors are expected to be high, particularly in the northern zone.
The forecast indicates the following temperature ranges:
- Coastal zone: 24°C minimum, 33°C maximum
- Forest zone: 24°C minimum, 35°C maximum
- Transition zone: 23°C minimum, 36°C maximum
- Northern zone: 24°C minimum, 41°C maximum
The public is advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the high temperatures, especially in the northern parts of the country.
