Sports Ministry needs Kofi Adams to reach next level

Chairman of Parliament’s Youth and Sports Committee and Member of Parliament for Ashiaman, Ernest Norgbey, has endorsed Kofi Adams’ continued leadership at the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, describing his impact as both progressive and stabilising for Ghana’s sporting sector.
In an interview with GHOne TV’s Benjamin Yamoah, Norgbey commended the Minister for his steadfastness and vision, calling him a “forward-looking” leader who has brought credit to the role since assuming office.
“Kofi Adams is a very good brother and colleague. So far, so good. I know him to be somebody who is steadfast and also a forward-looking person. He has performed creditably,” Norgbey said.
He went further to highlight Adams’ contribution to recent successes in Ghana football, pointing specifically to the national team’s victories in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
“Kofi Adams played a major role in the Black Stars winning the two World Cup qualifiers [against Chad and Madagascar].
“I hope and pray that if there will be a reshuffle in the future, Kofi should remain as the sports minister to be able to propel the sporting disciplines to another level,” he added.
