NPP will reclaim power in 2028

Former Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam believes the New Patriotic Party will reclaim power in 2028.

He explains that they have traveled this road before and that the party will re-organize and come back stronger.

In a post shared via social media, the former Finance Minister he indicated that all hands mustbe on deck as the party rebuilds its base.

His post shared via social media read “The NPP will reclaim power in 2028 with diligent effort and a revitalized party foundation. We have traveled this journey before; and we will once again re-organize to come back stronger.

The Mike Oquay Committee’s efforts have set us on the path to rebuilding our party and regaining power from the NDC. We thank them for the good job.

For the constitutional amendments, we should focus on key reforms that empower party members and drive our victory.

One of the key reforms is the leadership selection process, a process that must be open and inclusive of all stakeholders who have a role to play towards our victory. The reform in particular should recognize the roles of current and former party executives, current and former members of parliament, former MMDCEs and other key stakeholders.

Another area that could energize the base of the party is to make it mandatory for only members in good standing, those who pay dues and those who actively participate in party activities at all levels of the party structures (constituencies, Regional and National party), to be appointed to government positions when the party is in government. Those who work hard for the party must be rewarded.

All hands must be on deck and ready for the electoral battle ahead of us in 2028.

I call on members of the party to support the 9-member Committee to craft meaningful reforms that benefit our party. By working together, we can build a stronger NPP and secure a brighter future for our country”.
