A joint operation by the police and military at Binduri led to the arrest of one gunman on April 21, 2025.
This arrest was effected after military personnel and the police moved to the Binduri Market after sporadic gunshots were heard.

The joint team cordoned off the area and conducted a thorough search of the area where they arrested one of the gunmen whiles others are still on the run.
After the arrest, the personnel retrieved an empty M16 rifle magazine, an AK-47 rifle, a G3 rifle, 370 rounds of M16 and AK-47 ammunition, 128 rounds of G3 ammunition, a machete, four fragmentation jackets, a pair of boots, and one helmet.
The gunman has since been handed over to the Ghana Police Service.
