Jesus didn’t die on Friday—Apostle Abel Damina Declares

Renowned preacher and teacher, Apostle Abel Damina, has stirred fresh debate around the widely accepted timeline of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, stating emphatically that Jesus did not die on a Friday.

In a recent teaching, the theologian challenged the traditional Good Friday narrative by pointing to biblical and chronological inconsistencies with the belief that Jesus was buried on Friday and resurrected on Sunday.

“Jesus didn’t die on Friday,” Apostle Damina stated. “If Jesus died on Friday, then it will not be three days. Selah. Three days and three nights. Friday to Sunday, is it three days?”

Drawing from scriptural references, he added, “For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

He questioned the logic often used to calculate the timeline from Friday to Sunday, saying, “Friday to Saturday evening, one night. Saturday evening to Sunday evening, two nights.”

Apostle Damina, while acknowledging the public holiday associated with Good Friday, clarified, “It’s good that government gave us Friday as public holiday. So it is actually holiday. It’s not a celebration of his death and burial because the calculation doesn’t add up. He couldn’t have died on Friday.”

Instead, he presented a different perspective based on Jewish traditions and biblical prophecy.

“He’s supposed to be in the grave for three days and three nights… So which means Jonah was prophesying what Jesus will do,” he explained. “Remember Jesus died for our sins according to the scriptures. And the scriptures say it will be three days and three nights.”

Concluding his argument, Apostle Damina revealed, “So when did he actually die? He died Wednesday night. The Jews call it High Mass. Which was Wednesday night. So, Wednesday night.”
