Rethink and Rescind your decision to dismiss TTH’s CEO- Akandoh told

Executive Director of Eduwatch, Kofi Asare has chided the government’s decision to remove the chief executive officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

The government announced that it had sacked the chief executive officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital after the visit of the health minister to the facility.

The decision to sack the chief executive emanates from the death of an accident victim, which the public believes to have happened because of medical negligence.

Although some residents of Tamale and indigenes are in support of the decision to sack the Chief Executive Officer, Kofi Asare believes that must have a rethink of the decision.

He argues that dismissing the CEO does not solve the problem altogether but rather blurs the real problem.

Making this position known in a post shared via social media he said “The spontaneous dismissal of the Tamale Teaching Hospital CEO is not a solution.
The Minister must reflect and rescind. Such actions blur the real problems. We need strong institutions, not strong men“.
