Cloudy skies, storms, and safety advisories issued

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a 24-hour impact-based weather forecast for Wednesday, April 23, 2025, warning of ongoing rainstorms and the potential for flash floods in parts of the country.

According to the agency, a rainstorm currently affecting various parts of the country is expected to move westwards, bringing rainfall of varying intensities to the western portions of Ghana.

Intermittent rain accompanied by thunderstorms will persist throughout the day, with mostly cloudy conditions forecast from late afternoon into the evening.

Gusty winds, which have already been observed, are expected to continue for some time. The public is advised to seek proper shelter as a precautionary measure.

Additionally, GMet has highlighted a risk of flash floods in low-lying areas and locations with poor drainage systems. Residents in such zones are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
