We must work together to drive progress – Ekumfi DCE appeals to Assembly Members

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Ekumfi District Assembly, Mr. Ismaeel Nana Asamoah, has called on Assembly Members to set aside political differences and advance the district’s development agenda.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with MyNewsGh.com reporter Hajia Asana Gordon shortly after his confirmation, Mr. Asamoah emphasised the need for collective action in harnessing the district’s potential for the benefit of all.

“We must work together, leveraging our unique skills and experience to drive progress,” he stated.

He encouraged Assembly Members to identify untapped potential in their respective electoral areas and explore opportunities to generate resources and create employment.

Highlighting Ekumfi’s strengths, Nana Asamoah said, “Ekumfi District is rich in history and natural resources that provide a solid foundation for development.”

He pledged to focus on economic growth, infrastructural improvements, job creation, and agribusiness as key areas to attract investors.

“We want to cultivate a favorable business environment by leveraging our strategic location and natural resources to bring in investment,” he noted.

On infrastructure, he promised to collaborate with Assembly Members to prioritize the construction and upgrading of roads, markets, and public facilities to improve residents’ quality of life.

Nana Asamoah also expressed his commitment to promoting agricultural entrepreneurship by supporting farmers and young entrepreneurs to unlock the full potential of the district’s agricultural sector.

“I and my Assembly Members will ensure we take full advantage of the farming sector by empowering the youth to contribute meaningfully to Ekumfi’s development,” he said.

In a rallying call to the wider community, he added, “Let us rise to the challenge, embracing our roles as stakeholders in this development journey. I urge all citizens, both home and abroad, to join hands in support of Ekumfi’s growth.”
