Prophet Gideon Danso marries his fiancée with just GHC 600

It’s official! Prophet Gideon Danso, head pastor of Empowerment Worship Centre, is now a married man, and the story behind it has captured hearts.

Less than a week after introducing his fiancée to the congregation, Prophet Danso tied the knot in a humble ceremony that had no glam, no big fuss — just pure love and purpose.

In a touching moment captured on Facebook, Apostle Rev. Ben Doku, founder of Overcomers Outreach Family Church, announced the good news to a cheering congregation.

“I came here to announce to you that in the course of the week, something happened. What happened is that your lead pastor, Prophet Gideon Danso, got married. I’m here to announce to you, God has given you a mother,” Rev. Doku shared warmly.

With a huge smile, the newlyweds walked to the front as members celebrated them with claps and cheers.

Prophet Danso then revealed something even more surprising: their entire wedding cost just GHC 600.

“Whether you believe it or not, it cost me GHC 600. There was no makeup, no suit, no veil. I called Reverend, he came, we signed, we took vows, he blessed us, we served Malt and Fanta. No food, no nothing. I don’t owe anybody,” he said, laughing.

Speaking about his new wife, Gina, he was full of gratitude: “I want to thank God for Gina. This girl is special. She has saved my pocket to build a church, to build a house for us to live in.”

He also promised that by “Stand in the Gap Sunday,” there would be a proper celebration with food and thanksgiving to God. But for now, he proudly declared, “Between then and now, I’m a married man with GHC 600. It wasn’t planned; it happened the way God wanted it. The Lord has done it. It is finished.”
