Cedi records marginal gains against major currencies, trades at GH¢14.54 to US dollar

Ghana’s cedi has recorded marginal gains against major foreign currencies, particularly the US dollar, at some forex bureaus across the country.
According to the Central Bank of Ghana’s daily update, the cedi is currently trading at a buying price of GH¢14.54 and a selling price of GH¢14.55 to the dollar.
The British pound is being bought at GH¢19.37 and sold at GH¢19.40, while the euro is trading at GH¢16.54 for buying and GH¢16.56 for selling.
However, checks at various forex bureaus on the morning of April 28, 2025, indicate that the cedi is trading at a rate of GH¢15.85 to the US dollar, with the British pound at GH¢21.00 and the euro at GH¢18.00 on the retail market.
These variations reflect the volatility in the currency exchange rates and the ongoing fluctuations in Ghana’s currency market.
