Lady drinks weedicide over boyfriend’s refusal for sex

A 20-year-old woman, (name withheld), is currently battling for her life at St. Anne’s Catholic Hospital in Damongo, in the West Gonja District of the Savannah Region after attempting to take her own life by taking a container of a weedicide known as ‘Condemn’.

The suicide attempt followed her boyfriend’s decision to end their relationship and vowed never to have any intimacy with her.

The lovers had been living together at undisclosed area in Damongo, where their relationship was marked by frequent misunderstandings, according to neighbours.

It was noted that the woman often pressured her boyfriend for intimacy whenever the opportunity arose, suggesting she was a nymphomaniac

Meanwhile, hospital officials have declined from commenting on the situation, citing the need to obtain consent from the patient’s family in accordance with patient rights laws. The young woman is currently being treated in the hospital’s female ward.

The incident has sparked widespread concern in Damongo, with many questioning why someone would resort to such measures over issues related to intimacy.
