Thunderstorms and rain expected in parts of Ghana

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has released its 24-hour weather forecast, warning of mist and fog patches along the coastline, forested areas, and mountainous zones this morning, with thunderstorms and rain expected later in the day.
According to the forecast, the day will begin with partly cloudy conditions across most parts of the country, while mist and fog will be prevalent along the coast and in the northern and central highlands.
However, as the day progresses, sunny weather is expected to dominate, with occasional cloud cover in certain areas.
From late afternoon into the evening, GMet has forecast thunderstorms and rain in the middle, transition, and parts of the northern regions.
The agency also warned that inland areas along the west coast could experience thunderstorms or rain from late morning through the mid-afternoon.
Cities and towns across Ghana are expected to experience varied weather conditions throughout the day, with temperatures ranging from the low to mid-30s in the afternoon. Below is a summary of the forecast for some major cities:
- Accra: Partly cloudy this morning, sunny in the afternoon with a high of 33°C, and partly cloudy in the evening with temperatures dropping to 28°C.

The public is also advised to take necessary precautions due to the misty conditions, especially along coastal and mountainous areas, which may affect visibility.
