How much is $800? – Nana Agradaa responds to backlash over dollar gift

Controversial Ghanaian figure Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has urged supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stop criticising Sammy Gyamfi’s recent dollar gift to her, describing the backlash as unfounded and unnecessary.

Addressing the controversy in a viral video, Agradaa, who is also the founder of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, downplayed the significance of the gift, emphasising that the amount was a modest $800.

“How much is $800? NDC supporters shouldn’t feel aggrieved because of this,” she stated.

Agradaa further explained that instead of reacting negatively, NDC supporters should view the gift as a divine blessing.

Drawing on Biblical teachings, she advised, “The Bible says you should not covet your neighbour’s blessings—always tap into somebody’s blessings.”

She continued, “If Mama Pat has been blessed by Sammy Gyamfi, then supporters of the party should pray to encounter the same blessing from him.”

According to Agradaa, this mindset shift would foster a more positive perspective, rather than resentment or criticism.

The controversial figure also warned against condemning acts of goodwill, reminding viewers of the potential consequences. “If you condemn the act and someone blesses you, it is a curse,” she cautioned.

Agradaa’s comments come amidst heated reactions from NDC supporters, some of whom questioned the appropriateness of the dollar gift and its political implications.

However, Agradaa remains firm in her stance that the gesture should be seen in a positive light, emphasizing that it was simply a blessing, not a provocation.
