Sammy Gyamfi meets Chief of Staff over viral dollar video involving Agradaa

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, has met with the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, following a summons from the Presidency in relation to a viral video that showed him handing cash to evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.

The video, which has sparked widespread criticism, captures Mr. Gyamfi giving an undisclosed amount of U.S. dollars to the controversial religious figure, raising questions about propriety and the optics of the act, especially coming from a public office holder.

Reliable sources indicate that the meeting was held behind closed doors at the Jubilee House. While details of the engagement remain undisclosed, the discussion reportedly focused on the public backlash and the implications of the incident.

President John Mahama, who is currently in Lomé, Togo for the African Union Debt Conference, is expected to be briefed by the Chief of Staff on the matter.

The incident has drawn sharp criticism from sections of the public and political opponents, with calls for accountability and adherence to the Code of Conduct for public officials.
