One of the lawyers for the petitioners who want the chief justice removed has denied having a private meeting with the panel probing the petitions for the removal of the chief justice.
President John Dramani Mahama has been petitioned to dissolve the panel and reconstitute another because the current panel has been compromised.
The petition suggested that Justices Gabriel Pwamang, Samuel Adibu-Asiedu and Yonni Kulendi were spotted having dinner with lawyer Thaddeus Sory at Santoku Restaurant
But in a post shared via social media, Thaddeus Sory denied the meeting ever happening.
He indicated that it is easy to fact-check, adding that the country is aware of those who get justice through negotiation.
“It is a monstrous lie. No such meeting took place. It is very easy to fact check that. We know those who get justice through negotiation,” he remarked in a Facebook post.
