Veteran Ghanaian singer Mzbel has taken to social media to expose an alleged scam involving a UK-based woman she identifies as Janis Mensah.
According to Mzbel, Janis—an event and wedding planner for Inez Impressions—has been posing as a devout Jehovah’s Witness while reportedly defrauding several individuals of large sums of money.
In her Facebook post, Mzbel claimed she was personally defrauded of £40,000, and revealed that other victims have also lost significant amounts ranging from a few thousand to tens of thousands of pounds.
She noted that Janis is currently on the run in the United Kingdom and called on the public to help locate her, offering a “handsome reward” in return.
