Arresting Adenta Kumi for petitioning president in CJ’s probe reprehensible

President of Policy Think Tank, Imani Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has condemned the decision to arrest Adenta Kumi.
Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Ekow Vincent Assafuah announced the arrest of Adenta Kumi in a social media post.
He said he was accosted by about eight officers of the National Investigative Bureau (NIB) who stormed his residence at dawn.
It is currently not clear why Adenta Kumi was arrested, but reports link his arrest to the petition to the president to quash the committee probing the chief justice.
Reacting to reports of his arrest, Franklin Cudjoe described it as reprehensible.
In a social media post he said “It is reprehensible for Adenta Kumi to be arrested for petitioning the President over any matter. He should be released immediately”.
