Mahama must be worried about his legacy—Salam Mustapha

National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, believes that the President of Ghana must be worried.
According to him, John Dramani Mahama promised the people of Ghana a reset of the system and a legacy he will be proud of.
However, in the very few months he has been in power, all the people of Ghana have seen is political persecution, attacks on opponents by state security apparatus, among others, which does not speak well of the government.
Salam Mustapha claims security operatives have been seen chasing civilians in their homes with weapons; a spectacle which shouldn’t have been seen under the current dispensation.
“I think the president should be worried. I don’t think the people of Ghana voted the NPP out for the NDC to come in and start misbehaving in the manner that they are, and I think that all of you, the media and every Ghanaian must be worried. Today, they are doing to NPP people and people are happy but the next time it might be Journalists,” he remarked.
Adding that “today they are going for the Judiciary next time, these same operative wielding weapons you don’t know when power will change, and I keep telling them when politicians are playing their games, civil servants and security men, I tell them to stay away, leave the politicians to play their game and don’t become pawns. Always remember, no political party will be in office forever.”
