May God not forgive ne if I ever do that

Veteran Ghanaian media personality and musician Okyeame Quophi has finally addressed swirling allegations suggesting he physically abuses his wife.
In a heartfelt interview on Okay FM with Nana Romeo, the former hiplife star dismissed the rumours, calling them baseless and hurtful.
“But if you’re wise, you don’t rush to respond to such allegations,” he began calmly. “Ultimately, I ask myself if it’s true and if it’s not, I’m good to go about my life guilt-free. I can never hit my wife.”
According to Quophi, the speculation likely stemmed from a medical condition affecting his wife’s eyes.
“My wife had and still has issues with one of her eyes. She has crossed eyes, and my son has the same problem,” he revealed. “Her eye got infected, and she had to wear black sunglasses for a while and use lots of medications.”
He explained how societal assumptions often paint the wrong picture:
“But in our society, if a woman is seen with blood in her eyes, it is swiftly concluded that she has been beaten by her husband.”
Visibly emotional, Okyeame Quophi issued a strong spiritual denial.
“May God not forgive me if I ever do that. No, I don’t do that,” he declared.
