We’re ready to compete for the sanitation contract through the competitive bidding process—Zoomlion

Zoomlion Ghana Limited says it is ready to take part in any form of competitive bidding for the YEA sanitation contract after its contract with the agency expired.

A statement from Zoolion said they support the president’s call for competitive bidding for the contract, indicating that with their track record positions them to effectively deliver when they compete in the tender process.

They used the opportunity to welcome the president’s calls for accountability and an audit of their expired contract with the Youth Employment Agency.

On the president’s calls for the need for an increase in the salaries of frontline sanitation workers, Zoomlion welcomed the president’s position, indicating that they are open to all reforms being proposed.

They, however, used the opportunity to clarify that the government did not terminate their contract but rather, their contract, which they won in 2019 through competitive bidding, expired and was extended to September 2024.
