Galamsey must end, and he’s the right man for the job – Schandorf on Lands Minister

Broadcast journalist and public affairs commentator, Paa Kwesi Schandorf, has commended Ghana’s Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, for his relentless commitment to ending illegal mining, commonly referred to as galamsey.

Speaking on Woezor TV monitored by MyNewsGh, Schandorf praised the minister’s hands-on leadership style and early results in the fight against illegal mining.

“If I were to assess our progress now, I would say the efforts so far have been decent and very good, thanks to the ingenuity and passion of the sector minister, the Honourable Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah,” he stated. “This is not mere rhetoric or empty platitude. It is the reality on the ground.”

According to Schandorf, the minister’s approach has been marked by diligence and unwavering dedication.

“I don’t know if I even have the permission to disclose this,” he said, “but he is the kind of leader who sometimes shows up at the office as early as 6:30 a.m. because he has so much to do and is extremely passionate about ensuring that galamsey becomes a thing of the past.”
