We’ve achieved great outcomes with the EU – Ablakwa

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has described the 2025 Ghana-European Union Partnership Dialogue as a significant success, with concrete outcomes and a promising future for cooperation between Ghana and the EU.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Ablakwa praised the dialogue, which took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for strengthening strategic collaborations and advancing Ghana’s development goals.
“The 2025 Ghana-European Union Partnership Dialogue held at Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has produced great outcomes with an even better future to anticipate,” he stated.
Ablakwa also expressed appreciation to former President John Dramani Mahama for his involvement in the event.
“We are grateful to President Mahama for his historic participation in the annual dialogue where he outlined his vision, set the tone, and sought the relevant alignments with Ghana’s RESET agenda,” he noted.
He extended commendation to the various government officials and institutional leaders who played key roles in the discussions.
“I commend all partner ministers and heads of institutions for their remarkable dedication,” Ablakwa said.
Acknowledging the role of the European Union, he expressed Ghana’s continued appreciation for the longstanding relationship.
“We thank the EU ambassadors and their governments for the impressive and enduring partnership,” he added. “As our largest multilateral trading partner, Ghana deeply cherishes our cooperation with the EU.”
Looking ahead, Ablakwa assured Ghanaians that the ministry would ensure the full realization of the projects and policies agreed upon during the dialogue.
“My ministry will vigorously carry out the needed follow-ups and coordination to guarantee excellent execution of the many transformative projects agreed to and ensure a legacy of meaningful impact to all Ghanaians,” he affirmed.
The Ghana-EU Partnership Dialogue is held annually to foster cooperation in trade, development, governance, and security.
