India’s Prime Minister Modi to pay two-day official visit to Ghana

The Presidency has officially announced a two-day visit to Ghana by the Prime Minister of India, H.E. Narendra Modi, scheduled from Wednesday, July 2 to Thursday, July 3, 2025.

The visit underscores the deep-rooted and friendly relations between the two countries, with an emphasis on strengthening their strategic partnership.

In a statement signed by presidential spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Presidency noted, “The two leaders will engage in discussions aimed at deepening cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, agriculture, technology, education, healthcare, and energy.”

Prime Minister Modi will be welcomed at the Presidency by President John Dramani Mahama.

The visit will include a bilateral meeting and a joint press conference, followed by the signing of several bilateral agreements to enhance collaboration frameworks between Ghana and India.

“President Mahama will also host a State Dinner in honour of Prime Minister Modi and his delegation,” the statement added.

The visit is expected to deepen economic cooperation and further solidify the longstanding bonds of friendship between the peoples of Ghana and India.
