Patriotic Institute marks fresh start for NPP – Sammi Awuku

Former Director General of the National Lottery Authority and prominent New Patriotic Party (NPP) figure, Sammi Awuku, has hailed the establishment of the NPP Patriotic Institute as a timely and bold step toward national political renewal.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Awuku described the initiative as a “call to action, a fresh chapter, a bolder vision, and a rekindled patriotism” that could shape the future direction of the party.
According to Awuku, every great political comeback is born from a moment of reflection and repositioning—and the Patriotic Institute symbolizes just that for the NPP.
He praised both past and present national executives of the party for turning what he described as a long-held dream into reality.
“In the face of every great comeback is a moment of deep reflection and strategic renewal,” Awuku wrote.
“Let’s learn, let’s rebuild, and let’s arise again for a great comeback in 2028.”
The NPP Patriotic Institute is a newly established think-and-learn centre within the New Patriotic Party aimed at developing the party’s human resource capacity, enhancing ideological clarity, and preparing a new generation of political actors.
It is envisioned as a space for political education, policy development, and strategic training for both party members and sympathisers.
The Institute will also serve as an archive for the party’s historical and political journey, offering workshops, seminars, and leadership bootcamps focused on governance, democracy, and patriotism.
Party insiders believe the Patriotic Institute could become instrumental in re-energising the grassroots, redefining the party’s vision, and providing intellectual firepower ahead of the crucial 2028 general elections.
With the NPP currently in a rebuilding phase following its electoral loss in 2024, Awuku’s rallying cry reflects a growing sense of urgency and hope within the party for a stronger political comeback.
His message ends with a tone of resolve: “Let’s arise again for a great comeback in 2028.”
