I travel on economy, not first class – Gyampo sets record straight

Amid swirling allegations targeting his credibility, Professor Ransford Gyampo has positioned himself as a symbol of resilience and accountability in public service.
In a strongly worded statement, the outspoken CEO firmly dismissed claims of mass recruitment and lavish travel, stating that all his trips were limited, approved, and done on economy tickets—not first or business class as alleged.
Rather than dwell solely on the accusations, Gyampo highlighted a broader concern: the growing weaponization of falsehoods to discredit voices critical of bad governance.
He warned that silence in the face of such narratives only empowers them, which is why he felt compelled to speak out.
“Baseless allegations have never been enough to silence me,” Gyampo declared, reaffirming his commitment to championing the interest of shippers and speaking truth to power without fear.
Gyampi further hinted that the attacks may be part of a long-running scheme to undermine his influence, especially given his record of vociferously criticizing previous administrations.
“Public trust matters to me. I know the confidence people have in my work, and I will never betray it,” he assured.
