The government of Ghana is today, July 2, 2025, launching the much-talked-about 24-Hour Economy.
The launch, which is currently ongoing, will mark the beginning of an economic transformation that will create jobs for the teeming youth in Ghana.
President John Dramani Mahama and his vice, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, will grace the occasion, considering this is the government’s flagship program.
Meanwhile, while addressing the press before the launch, Coordinator for the 24-Hour Economy, Goosie Tanoh, disclosed that the country will need an amount of $4 billion to be able to make the program see the light of day.
His comment has led to some members of the opposition New Patriotic Party questioning when and where the government is going to get the money.
