Bryan Acheampong wants to be president so he can buy state assets for himself— Solomon Owusu

A leading member of the Movement for Change has questioned Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s integrity in contesting for the flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party.
He says that as minister, the Abetifi Member of Parliament wanted to buy SSNIT hotels from the state.
Solomon Owusu believes that with that premise, when he becomes president, he will clearly sell state assets to himself and sell the people of Ghana too.
He was commenting on the competence of the leading members of the New Patriotic Party who have declared their intentions to contest for the flagbearership of the political party.
“I have told you that none of them fit the bill because in 2028. As we speak, we owe ECOWAS Buffer Stock 27,000 tonnes of rice. But for the graciousness of the Ghanaian worker, he would have bought Labadi Beach Resort. If, as a minister, you wanted to buy Labadi beach resort, if you become the president of this country, are you not going to sell me?
“I’m telling you that reality. We must not be pampering and sugarcoating things. Bryan Acheampong, as a businessman, wanted to buy a state asset. If he becomes president, wouldn’t he buy everything for himself?”
He indicated that there is a last John who has the blessing of the people, and the Lord to come back and lead to make the country a better place, just as John Dramani Mahama has been doing in the past few months.
“There will be that candidate that the people have been waiting for. There will be the last John. So when we reverted it to John, you see that Ghana is developing.”
