President Mahama releases final list of deputy ministerial nominees

President John Dramani Mahama has announced what is expected to be his final batch of Deputy Ministerial appointments, rounding out his government’s executive structure as it pushes forward with key policy initiatives.
The latest list features four Members of Parliament who are expected to bring their expertise and regional representation to support the President’s vision of economic recovery and inclusive development.
Among them is Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the Member of Parliament for Jomoro, who has been nominated as Deputy Minister for Transport.
Also included is Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, MP for Assin North, who will now serve as Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.
His nomination is expected to bolster Ghana’s diplomatic corps, especially in strengthening relationships with regional and continental partners amid shifting global alliances.
Hon. Mohammed A. Sukparu, MP for Sissala West, has been nominated as Deputy Minister for Communications.
A relatively young lawmaker, Sukparu’s addition signals the administration’s intention to bridge the digital divide and enhance access to technology across Ghana’s underserved communities.
Finally, Hon. Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan and a medical practitioner by profession, has been named Deputy Minister for Health.
