Kofi Kinaata explains why he rarely features artists

Ghanaian musician and lyrical powerhouse, Kofi Kinaata, has opened up about why he seldom features other artists on his songs, revealing that his creative process often leaves little room for collaborations.
However, fans can look forward to a potential team-up with Sarkodie in the near future.
Speaking in an interview with Feeling Daddy on Starr Showbiz on Starr FM, Kinaata explained that while he has appeared on numerous tracks by other artists, only a select few have made it onto his own records.
“Even in Ghana, I haven’t done many collaborations.
“The few I’ve done are not that many, but when it comes to me featuring on other people’s songs, those are plenty.
“However, people featuring on my songs are very limited. I have only featured Shatta Wale and Samini so far,” he said.
The Things Fall Apart hitmaker attributed this to the way his songs are structured.
He noted that once inspiration strikes, the music often flows so seamlessly that there’s no space left for others to contribute meaningfully.
“Sometimes, I can just be miming, and by the time you realise, I am done recording. And when I’m done too, the story is already perfectly completed.
“There wouldn’t be space for anyone else to add something. They might feel offended, thinking I want to limit their ability.”
