See Salary, Fuel Coupons, House, New V8 & Other Benefits Enjoyed By Rosemond Obeng

Rosemond Obeng, recently appointed as a Senior Presidential Staffer at the Office of the President, is entitled to a comprehensive package of salary and benefits that reflects her senior role at Jubilee House.

According to sources familiar with the remuneration framework, who spoke to MyNewsGh.com, Ms. Obeng is receiving a monthly salary of GHS65,000 as Presidential Staffers excluding other allowances.

This amount is reportedly benchmarked against the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) and approved by the Presidential Emoluments Committee in line with compensation guidelines for top-tier public sector officials.

The appointment of Ms Obeng, who was an aide to Ex-NPP flagbearer Dr, Mahamudu Bawumia defected from the then ruling NPP to join the then opposition NDC with just some few days to the December 2024 election.

Her appointment has caused widespread concern among supporters of the NDC who say the party has neglected them to the advantage of Rosemond Obeng, a former National TESCON Coordinator of the NPP.

Beyond the salary, her role comes with a range of allowances and logistical support typically allocated to senior presidential staffers.

While these provisions are standard for senior officials within the Presidency, the spotlight on Ms. Obeng has reignited broader public interest in the remuneration of political appointees and the cost of governance.
