Enough of the theatrics—Steve Manteaw tackles Hannah Bisiw over “Joke” fight against galamsey
The supposed fight against illegal mining does not enthuse Policy Analyst Steve Manteaw.
He thinks that the theatrics are too much and must be stopped for real action if the country is really ready to fight the menace.
In a recent post shared via social media, he questioned the modus operandi of the Administrator for the Minerals Development Fund, Hannah Bisiw, which he believes will not earn the country the needed results.
To him, targeting the Chinese involved and leaving their Ghanaian accomplices is just racist and not an effective way to fight the menace.
He believes that the Ghanaian kingpins must also be paraded just as the Chinese are if the country is serious about fighting illegal mining.

The biggest challenge facing Ghana’s fight against illegal mining is vested interest. The Ghanaian kingpins who never get paraded along with their Chinese accomplices are the ones to tackle in dealing with vested interest. Let Hannah Bissiw tackle those, if she wants to fight the menace. Enough of the theatrics”.
