Four dead in Adanwomase crash, including three police officers

Four people, including three police officers and a man believed to be in his 50s, have died following a road crash at Adanwomase in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region.

Emergency responders who arrived at the scene on Wednesday, July 9, confirmed that the victims had all died from the impact.

The incident involved a bullion van with registration AS 19 43-24 and a KIA truck bearing AS 51 42-24.

Eyewitness accounts suggest the KIA truck and a Toyota vehicle were allegedly racing at high speed along the stretch.

The bullion van, also reportedly speeding, approached from the opposite direction.

With no vehicle slowing down, the result was a deadly head-on collision.
