I expected Kudus to join Chelsea, not Spurs

Laryea Kingston has voiced surprise over Mohammed Kudus’ reported move from West Ham United to Tottenham Hotspur, saying he had hoped to see the Black Stars star at a club with a higher profile.
“Mohammed Kudus moving from West Ham to Tottenham is one step in his career,” Kingston said in an interview.
“But I was expecting him to move to a bigger club like Chelsea,” the former Ghana international said on Sporty TV.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian midfielder has been the subject of intense transfer speculation following an impressive debut season in the English Premier League, where he scored 14 goals across competitions for West Ham.
His standout performances have attracted interest from several top clubs, but it appears Tottenham have won the race.
Multiple reports indicate that Spurs have agreed to a deal worth around £55 million for Kudus, who is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days.
Kudus’ versatility—being able to play as an attacking midfielder, winger, or false nine—has made him one of the most sought-after African talents in Europe.
