Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has been confirmed dead at the age of 82.
The late Muhammadu Buhari died on July 13th, 2025.
According to his trusted presidential spokesman Garba Shehu, President Muhammadu Buhari died while receiving treatment in a hospital in London.
“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin,” Garba Shehu wrote on X.
His family and Nigerians are mourning the death of a statesman.
He will be shortly according to the Islam rite.

The former President Muhammadu Buhari had been sick for sometime and was receiving treatment at a hospital in London before he passed. The cause of his death has not been confirmed yet. He was 82 years old.
