Kwabena Agyepong Explains Decision Not to Seek Party Position Despite Public Calls

Engineer Kwabena Agyepong holds the view that Ghana currently needs reorientation, and that’s the reason why he will be contesting for flagbearer rather than a position in the political party.

He believes he is results-oriented and will deliver the kind of governance Ghana needs at this critical moment if the New Patriotic Party’s delegates give him their mandate and the Ghanaian people vote for him.

Kwabena Agyepong was speaking in an exclusive interview with The 1957 News when he made this known.

He said, “I think most importantly, the country needs reorientation. All of us. The politician first especially to understand what politics should be and what governance should do for the development of our country”.

Adding that “the very essence of politics is the welfare of the ordinary person, so I am very passionate about getting things right for our country, Ghana, and I do believe that if the delegates give me their mandate and the Ghanaian people bless me with their votes, I am the kind of person who will drive change because I am results-oriented”.

Engineer Kwabena Agyepong indicated that he will tone down on the noise and chase progress for Ghana.

“I will chase progress, less talk, more action, be prepared to enforce order and discipline, make sure our rules and regulations work and create a competent state; a state that can deliver to the satisfaction of the people,” he said.
