‘Abiba’ hitmaker Mr Oduro now practising pharmacy in the US

Ghanaian hiplife artiste Emmanuel Oduro, popularly known as Mr. Oduro, has revealed that he is now a certified Doctor of Pharmacy and has been practising in the United States since 2017.
Speaking in an interview with Joy FM’s Kwame Dadzie, Mr. Oduro—now officially Dr. Emmanuel Oduro—explained that he took a break from music to focus on academic and professional growth.
“I decided to go to school. I have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. I have been practising in the United States since 2017,” he said.
According to him, his passion for medicine began early. “At the age of 12, my uncle who is a medical doctor bought books for me on medications to read,” he recalled.
But even as he pursued his career in pharmacy, Mr. Oduro said he never lost sight of his musical roots.
“I did not want to get rid of my God-given talent. So I decided to merge my music and rap talent with my earthly acquired Doctor of Pharmacy degree to help the public,” he noted.
Mr. Oduro is fondly remembered in Ghana’s hiplife music circles for his hit song “Abiba.”
