Bank Hospital breaks silence on Daddy Lumba’s final days

The Bank Hospital has firmly rejected claims circulating online that suggest a breach of medical confidentiality surrounding the late Ghanaian music legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
In a strongly-worded statement dated July 30, 2025, the hospital addressed accusations allegedly made by media personality Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, also known as Afia Schwarzenegger. These accusations implied that Mr. Fosu’s private medical details had been leaked.
“No breach of Mr. Fosu’s medical privacy or confidentiality occurred,” the hospital stated. “His care was handled with professionalism, dignity, and strict confidentiality,” it added. “His family was involved every step of the way.”
The hospital confirmed that Daddy Lumba passed away at their facility on July 26, 2025, and extended condolences to his family, fans, and the nation at large.
The statement also emphasized that a formal review of all events surrounding Mr. Fosu’s care—before, during, and after—is currently underway to ensure continuous improvement and uphold the institution’s ethical standards.
As one of Africa’s top private healthcare facilities, The Bank Hospital urged the public to “seek and share only verified information from credible sources.”
